AViD-NMP People
The AUEB team consists of two senior researchers, three experienced researchers and three beginning researchers; three team members (30%) are female and the rest are male. The team includes two experienced musicians (Dr. Yannis Thomas and Dr. Konstantinos Tsioutas) who can perform live tests of the platforms, with actual musical instruments and real performances, without the need to recruit external members.

Prof. George Xylomenos
Coordinator
The leader of the AUEB RC team is Dr. George Xylomenos, professor at AUEB. He acts as the project manager, organizing the work in each activity and overseeing the design, implementation, experimentation and evaluation activities. He has long experience in managing such projects, and has been involved with NMP for more than 10 years.
Prof. George Polyzos
Founder of MMLab
Dr. George C. Polyzos, professor at AUEB, started the MMLab more than 20 years ago, with the goal of performing research in the intersection of networking and media; he was previously a professor at the University of California, San Diego in the USA; he has extensive experience in mobile communications, QoS assessment and media transmission, and he will be involved with the design of the software and the experiments and the analysis of their results.
Dr. Yiannis Thomas
Post-doctoral Researcher
Dr. Yiannis Thomas is the technical manager of the project. He is an experienced developer who has worked with NMP at a low level during the MusiNet project, so he will lead the design and implementation efforts of the project.
Dr. Kostantinos Tsioutas
Post-doctoral Researcher
Doctoral dissertation of Dr. Kostantinos Tsioutas was on the QoE assessment of NMP. He will design and supervise the testing activities of the project, especially with respect to actual music performances.
Dr. Anna Kefala
Post-doctoral Researcher
Dr. Anna Kefala, is post-doctoral researcher and also teaching faculty member. She has long experience in e-learning and e-services and realted QoS and QoE evaluation. She will assist in the design of the tests and the evaluation of their results.
Iakovos Pittaras, M.Sc.
Doctoral Researcher
Iakovos Pittaras is doctoral student and has extensive experience with software development and QoS evaluation. He participates in the design and implementation of the software and its packaging for public release, as well as in the execution and analysis of the experiments.
Athanasia Maria Papathanasiou, M.Sc.
Doctoral Researcher
Athanasia Maria Papathanasiou is doctoral student, with experience in software implementation and testing. She participates in carrying out experiments and analysing their results, as well as preparing data for public release.
Chalima Dimitra Nassar Kyriakidou, M.Sc.
Doctoral Researcher
Chalima Dimitra Nassar Kyriakidou is doctoral student, experienced programmer and tester. She participates in the setup, execution and analysis of the experiments.
